If I create a successor entity from the keyboard using Cmd-E, the focus stays on the new entity and the new edge. In this state, tabbing to type in the title doesn't work - presumably because the focus includes the edge.

Is there any way to stay on the keyboard and move the focus to the entity alone, so that I can tab in the title (and annotation)?

We already have a fix for this coming. Although it's important to keep all newly added elements selected just after they're created (so people can see what's changed), in the next version, after adding an entity in a way that also creates (and selects) a new edge, pressing Tab the first time will reduce the selection to just the entity (i.e., will deselect the edge) and then pressing it again will edit the title of the entity as it does now.

So Cmd-E, Tab, Tab will quickly get you a new entity and into editing its title.
